Gu was born and raised in a family that has practiced Traditional Chinese Medicine (TCM) for generations in Chongqing, China. Under the influence of his father, he has gained first-hand clinical experience since a very young age. After 3 years of apprenticeship in his father’s clinic, he came to Vancouver and is now a Registered TCM Practitioner (Registered Acupuncturist and TCM herbalist).

“The clinical apprenticeship in China was a unique experience for me, as TCM is treated to be just as important as Western Medicine there. This is where I had the chance to observe the treatments of complicated and severe cases. TCM Herbology is my specialty, as most of my clinical experience has been using TCM herbs to treat internal diseases, such as gynecological diseases, gastrointestinal diseases, sleep disorders and depression. I also enjoy treating soft tissue problems such as neck, back, and leg pain, and other sport/posture related injuries.”
